WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR
EUSTIS MUSTANG BAND MEMBERS!

Here is just a small portion of what it takes to make this program work!

Musicians
Volunteers
Chaperones
We appreciate you ALL!
Here is to a great year!

Eustis Mustang Band

2012-2013

First half of the year

Second half of the year

Proof of hard work and dedication.

Without local supporters. Great parents. Excellent students. And the best band director possible none of this is possible.

Virtually self funded we depend on everyone working together. Our band family working together means success is only a tune away!

Summer Band Camp Has Moved Locations

Due to the summer work schedule:

The Eustis Middle Summer Band Camp

June 10-13, 2013

Has been moved to the Eustis High School Band Room

At 1300 Washington Ave, Eustis, 32726

Pick up and drop off will be at the EHS Bus loop,

on the East Side of the high school on Fahnstock Street.

 Sorry for any inconvenience.

Time Schedule has remained the same.

United In Praise

Our band family met last night with United In Praise.
This is a local choir organization that gives back to the community by helping with non-profit grants.
There were MANY community programs that came out to tell about there needs.
It proves that our community is in the need of help.
But it proves there are people in our community that are willing to help. Some of the programs that were heard were about the local food pantries and local woman shelters.https://www.facebook.com/unitedinpraise?fref=ts

We really hope and pray for us to receive the grant that they are offering. We have so many children that we can reach. Last year our budget met the needs we had but some of the improvements to out MCSC program were not met. This is our main goal this year as the Mustang Music Association,
BUT it also lets us know that next year we need to do some can food drives and other fundraisers that help others in our community. If we are to ask our community for support...
WE must give back to our community.

We give thanks to the following....

Teri Ern
David, Darian and Lauren DiMassino
Kenneth Purvee
Marcus Nix
The entire United In Praise Board

Our new local sponsorship letter

Greetings, we are writing to request your personal or business support of our band program.
The EMS Mustang Band, under the direction of Mr. Gerald Ricke, wins numerous awards each year.
Out of the $20,000 annual operating expenses 94% must be generated by our student body through fund raising and the generous community support of people like you.

Currently, in order to participate in the band program, students are required to purchase or rent an instrument, buy a uniform, provide entry fees for competitions and absorb the transportation cost for these trips.
Most of the funds have to be provided by the parents.
Our goal through community support is to help offset some of these expenses and to provide those students with the greatest financial needs the opportunity to be able to participate in our school’s music program through scholarships. Boys and girls who are active in the arts, especially in a music program, are shown to maintain higher GPA’s, are more likely to complete a higher level of education and in turn give back to their community.

Donating to the Eustis Mustang Band Program
is an investment in our future!
Please become an EMS Music Education Partner today.
Blue level and above donations will be recognized in BOTH the Eustis Middle School and Eustis High School Band literature throughout the coming school year.
This equals twice the exposure for your business!
Thank you, we appreciate your consideration and support.

The Eustis Mustang Music Association is invited by United We Praise

Last month we applied for a grant.
It was a Facebook shared process.
Thanks to our band family and friends we all liked and shared our initial application enough to get us an invitation to their community board meeting. They will be hearing from a number of groups in our community. We all know how much each one of us could use the support. But our improvements to our MCSC program really would come faster and easier with any extra funds. So here is to starting the year off right next year!

Our Facebook request to United Praise can be found at

Please find information about our MCSC Program
right here on this blog.

And for more information on United We Praise here is their Facebook Page

Here is the link to the photos from Music USA 2013!

The Eustis Mustang Concert Band and Jazz Band beat seven other top rated schools
The Judges were quoted as saying...."You have made music today, you did not just come in and play notes"

We are so proud of our students.
Please go to this link and check the photos that Music USA took!

After the contest the kids participated in the Universal Studios Parade. This is the opening parade for the park. It is an honor to participate in this parade and we love doing it every single year!
